[Two (slightly bloodied up) boys coming out of the caves after having snuck off at ridiculous o'clock in the morning today -- victorious! They've got themselves a nice little fatty lizard which is floating on home behind them courtesy of some wind magic. Which creates a mini hurricane of wind for anyone nearby when it's released. WHHHOOOOOSH.]

How many strips will we need?

I think they're going to have to be inside. We'll lose them to lizards or squidrats or people if they're out in the open.

I know. That's why smell would be a problem...

Well, there's no point in both of our dorms smelling strange.

We'll trade Cepheus' half, if Orion is volunteering to house the meat.

I'm not. It's fair. And the lizards yield a lot of meat, we can afford to trade some away.

We brought it down together; we should take some from each of our halves.

Like you said, there's a lot of meat. A little won't hurt, especially since some of it's probably going to spoil anyway.

By that logic, we should also house some of the meat we are trying to preserve.

If you want both of our dorms to smell, sure.

How much do we want to try preserving each way?

This time just a little, I think. We don't want to waste it. We can eat and trade the rest before it goes bad, and then we will know for next time.

That makes sense.

Five or ten thin strips for each method? That should be enough to tell for certain, even if one or two do something not strictly usual.
