[Two (slightly bloodied up) boys coming out of the caves after having snuck off at ridiculous o'clock in the morning today -- victorious! They've got themselves a nice little fatty lizard which is floating on home behind them courtesy of some wind magic. Which creates a mini hurricane of wind for anyone nearby when it's released. WHHHOOOOOSH.]

...Let's trade a little to Pavo. They have soaps and things that smell nice that will probably help.

I know some of them. I don't think they go hunting very often.

Like you said, there's a lot of meat. A little won't hurt, especially since some of it's probably going to spoil anyway.

How much do we want to try preserving each way?

This time just a little, I think. We don't want to waste it. We can eat and trade the rest before it goes bad, and then we will know for next time.

That makes sense.

Five or ten thin strips for each method? That should be enough to tell for certain, even if one or two do something not strictly usual.

In the future, when it's not as important to have it ready, I'd like to try the other methods. The only team I've seen with salt is Lacerta, so we can't rely on it too heavily.

You should be able to trade them for it. We both have a supply for now, since Allen brought some around.
