[Two (slightly bloodied up) boys coming out of the caves after having snuck off at ridiculous o'clock in the morning today -- victorious! They've got themselves a nice little fatty lizard which is floating on home behind them courtesy of some wind magic. Which creates a mini hurricane of wind for anyone nearby when it's released. WHHHOOOOOSH.]

How many strips will we need?

...ah. Red knows another method.

He knows? Then we can save all of it, we don't need to try testing.

He says that the salt will work.

And that we can smoke it, but smoking requires a special house.

Then let's salt it. We can smoke it another time, the important thing now is to have food available.

In the future, when it's not as important to have it ready, I'd like to try the other methods. The only team I've seen with salt is Lacerta, so we can't rely on it too heavily.

You should be able to trade them for it. We both have a supply for now, since Allen brought some around.

I think it would be better to preserve it. Ice melts too quickly, you would constantly need to come back to the dorm to refreeze it.

If we ever find ourselves without salt, it's a possibility.

He said that drying with the aid of magic might work, as well.

Since we have the salt, we should use it. We're more certain that doing it that way will work.
