I have read many works by both Human and Vulcan poets, as well as other species' works.

Human authors such as Shakespeare, Robert Frost, Lao Tzu, Emily Dickinson, Robert Burns, and many others. T'Pel, V'las, Kuvak, and Bokem to name a select few from Vulcan.

I believe he had several variations of his name, including Laozi and Laocius. He is hailed as a Chinese Taoist philosopher.
