Point one: I am so not your captain right now. There's no power abuse or authority shit getting in the way.

One could argue that you remain a captain no matter the environment or timing.

A captain, yes. Your commanding officer? Not so much.

A small distinction.

But important. Seeing as how it removes the authority thing.

Point two: even if Uhura finds out about this, she won't believe us. Or she'll rightfully realize that I seduced you and smack me, and that'll be the end of it.

[still again at the mention of Uhura, then slowly relaxes back as he was]

... In regards to seduction, there is also a small distinction that may be noted that holds greater importance. Willing and unwilling seduction.

Well -- that -- yes, okay. I'm assuming this is mostly willing seduction.
