When: Day 176, night. (after Allen's return.)
What: Watanuki and Aeris go dreamwalking. Shenanigans ensue!

[Watanuki would be a pretty damn competent dreamwalker ... if he had all of the relevant memories back. As it is, he has the power required but not the control. Which means that his forays into the dreamworld lead to a big fat interconnected mess of unconscious psyche.

What are you dreaming about tonight?]

(( OOC: Dreampost! This is done CFUD-style. For those not familiar with that, here's how it works:

It's a gambling game. There are stakes when you play--whether it be money or something else. Normally... you leave with what you bring to the table.

[the smile on his face shows that he's not at all taking that last sentence literally]

[raises an eyebrow, thinking that over]

Depends on how much the gambling type you are.

[shrugs a shoulder]

[flick of a wrist and there's a deck of cards in his hand]

[clears a space in front of him, pushing puzzle pieces to the side]

[nimble fingers are busily shuffling the deck while he does so]

[you have ALL his attention now]

[you may have noted that he set the two jokers aside before shuffling :3]

[and once he's done shuffling, he places the deck down on the ground]

Now you cut the card.

[blinks. looks at the deck]

No no! You "cut" the cards by dividing the deck in half! So the top will be at the bottom and such!

[hmphs and mutters to himself] Then you should just say divide the pile in half.

[reaches over cut the pile in half]

[gathers up the halves, putting the top portion on the bottom like he said. then starts to deal--starting with placing a card in front of Shinichi]

If you're going to learn Poker, you need to learn the jargon of it as well. Cutting the cards, deuces, Jokers' wild...

[dryly] I'll keep that in mind.

So what do those last two mean?

Deuces are another name for 2's. Jokers' wild is when you play with Jokers. Jokers can be any card you want to make your hand better. Since there's only two of them, there's a lower percentage that you'd get them.

But we're going without the Jokers for now. Really, you can declare any card is "wild" but Jokers are the classic wild card.

[stops dealing cards when they both have five]

Ah. I was wondering why you took them out.

[. . . eyes his cards]

meanwhile, Kaito holds his cards in a fan, shifting them about for a moment before settling with them. Poker Face is go]

[. . . tries to arrange his cards in the same way, then shifts them around a bit so they are BETTER ORGANIZED or sth]

Okay. So now that you have a look at you cards, you have one chance to exchange some cards for new, hopefully better ones. Like so.

[deftly removes two cards (taking care not to let Shinichi see them) and puts them aside, face down.]

[raises an eyebrow, then looks back down at his cards.

then pulls the 4 and the 9 and puts those aside, face down]

[Kaito then proceeds to deal out their new cards

Shinichi's new hand: 5♣ 6♣ 7♣ ]

[arranges his hand, then looks over at Kaito]
