There's no point. If I cook it right, it tastes good. If I don't, it tastes bad.

. . . How can you measure whether you've done it right or not without tasting?

Because my team eats it? Not that I've had any really bad batches so far.

Basically. Though I can sort of tell if it's going to turn out well before they actually eat it.

I mean, it just looks that way, you know? Just like a potato looks done when it's finished cooking, or meat ...

I suppose tasting it once the meal is on the table still counts as gauging whether something needs to be adjusted later, but I'm surprised you don't check before hand.
