(no subject)

Who: Hydra, Ikki, Allen, ANY
Where: The Arena
When: Day 98, evening
What: When we last left our intrepid heroes...

[In the arena, there's some decent quality meat burning as a gift to two particular Judges, a comatose member of Hydra and a few guards with torches... and not a whole lot else to explain what's going on.

Well the real interesting part is going on a little deeper anyway.]

MEANWHILE, IN THE ARENA:

[sitting cross-legged and waiting.]

[It's got to be a quiet wait. And a boring one.

. . . well, except for the sound of footsteps some ten minutes in, overlaid with the sound of something heavy dragging through the arena's stone streets.]

[aside from all the tense possibility of someone being eaten in there--

looks up, standing quickly from his position. His eye being activated near Fang has him a little high-strung, but his stance isn't aggressive]

[Drag drag drag thump.

pant pant

scuttle rustle
drag drag drag . . . and that would be purple clothing and a mop of pink hair, and a either a very unconsious, or (more correctly, if one was to judge by the small wounds at the base of its skull) a very exanimate river lizard being unceremoniously dragged into the braizer's light.]

. . . ahh, Allen's here, too.

...Aah, I'm waiting. Hey, Feathers.

Mmm, Scowl said you would be, when he was talking to Hydra.

[Oh hey this is a nice stone slab, drags the lizard onto it.]

Did the Judges really ask for lizard sacrifices?

Re: MEANWHILE, IN THE ARENA:

Well. . . they're in his heart, aren't they?

Re: MEANWHILE, IN THE ARENA:

[identity profile] roadtothesky.insanejournal.com 2010-01-15 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
. . . ahh, he said something about that too, didn't he . . .

Mm. It's different. Though it would be right, wouldn't it? If I'm using their space.

[With her hair out of the way, now that the lizard's down, it's easier to see a few claw marks down one arm, and a smear of red on her fingertips.]

Geez, that looks like it hurts. Aeris isn't here yet, but. . .

A way home.

Re: MEANWHILE, IN THE ARENA:

[Covers the scratch a bit self-consciously.]

Ahh, Allen doesn't need to worry, about something like this.

. . .[well, considering all the injuries everyone gets, Allen lets that slide :\...]

What do you mean, a way home?

[Builds up a small fire, lighting it from the brazier.]

Just a thought. For something like this . . . I trust Ikki-kun more than anyone. And for Scowl, and Hydra . . . they won't leave either, unless everything's okay.

. . .Yeah, they're all pretty stubborn. . . Ikki, really?. . .

Re: MEANWHILE, IN THE ARENA:

[identity profile] roadtothesky.insanejournal.com 2010-01-15 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm. If he and Scowl can work together . . .

Re: MEANWHILE, IN THE ARENA:

[identity profile] roadtothesky.insanejournal.com 2010-01-15 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
. . . ahh, they really don't match, though.

[Takes out a stone knife, back to Allen as she starts butchering the lizard.]

[identity profile] pierrotdetous.insanejournal.com 2010-01-15 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
No kidding. But if it's this important they'll have to manage. You like that guy? ...

Ah, shouldn't you clean your wound before you're elbow-deep in that?

Re: MEANWHILE, IN THE ARENA:

[identity profile] roadtothesky.insanejournal.com 2010-01-15 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
It's not as bad as it looks. Something like this isn't . . . really big enough for elbows, anyway.

. . . we see each other, in our memories. Fang and Raven and I.

Re: MEANWHILE, IN THE ARENA:

[identity profile] pierrotdetous.insanejournal.com 2010-01-15 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
Ah... from the same place...

Do you two know what's happening to him?

Re: MEANWHILE, IN THE ARENA:

[identity profile] roadtothesky.insanejournal.com 2010-01-15 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Carefully removes the lizard's head, and its heart.]

. . . we're not sure. None of our memories are complete. But . . . I think so.

Scowl yelled a lot, though. And I don't think he'll believe it, until he sees it for himself.

[identity profile] pierrotdetous.insanejournal.com 2010-01-15 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
[jaded is our society where Kururu can gut a lizard with a scratched arm and it's normal. way more pressing matters than "what're you removing parts for" though]

. . .What is it?

Re: MEANWHILE, IN THE ARENA:

[identity profile] roadtothesky.insanejournal.com 2010-01-15 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
[It's just . . . disassembling, at this point. And if she tells herself that enough, it might even be okay.]

The 'Fang' in our memories . . . he's not one person.

He's two.
