Who: All the good little anti-entropy engine girls and boys and others
Where: On the way back towards the dorms
When: Day 258, evening, so very shortly after Good Ends
What:
[As the festivities end and it’s time to head back to dorms, there seems to hang an uneasy feeling that has nothing to do with bittersweet goodbyes. The particularly astute may notice an uncomfortable stillness about; not a living thing is out and active, save the Blanks. Even the river seems stilled, as if holding its breath. The more sensitive can probably feel it coming, whatever it is. Even the insensitive may find something about the walk home distasteful.]

Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
Inside.
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
And then maybe slamming it closed.
Just a little.]
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
Feathers?
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
Feathers, on the other hand, seems to have made herself slightly more scarce. Fallen furniture would point to Pavo's side.]
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
Tide, can you please check that everything is fine in there?
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
[Turning and wandering onto Pavo's side cautiously, calling out.]
Feathers...?
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
. . . it kind of looks like she's got pillows pressed to her ears.]
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
. . . Tide?
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
It...I think it's stopped. Are you-?
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
Did Zero find you? Is he okay?
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
Yes, he's fine...we brought Rapunzel back.
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
[Still shaking, and holding tight.]
Something happened. I can still hear it, echoing.
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
I felt something... Something with an enormous amount of power. It came and then left, just as abruptly.
Feathers...do you know what this was?
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
We thought it was the pillar once. but it's not. It's the ground below us and above us, and all around . . . everywhere, with no way out.
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
In other words, a death trap.
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
They don't die, Tide. The people in the earth . . . they're still alive. Even as they're turning to stone.
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
And it almost took all of us tonight.
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
And it called to us, trying to convince us to sink into it, too...
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
I'm glad you didn't listen.
Re: [Anywhere in the South Block]
Of course. I still have too many things to do, after all.
