Do you want me to go first? My memories aren't usually anything big.

It's actually a little annoying. I know important things happen, because of that first memory I got but... everything since then hasn't told me anything about it at all.

That just mean you'll probably get a lot of important things at once.

Maybe. Or they could give me one important thing and then a bunch of things like going fishing.

As long as there are new fishing techniques in it, I wouldn't complain.

[laughs]

Well, Palmacosta was a coastal town, but I think they probably used boats and nets for it, mostly. We don't really have boats here, so I'm not sure how much help it would be.

We might be able to make one. We know the mushroom wood floats.

I don't think I'm going to remember anything about building boats... my dad was a fisherman, not a shipwright.

How hard can it be? We'd only have to tie a few pieces together.

It just looks more complicated than that, I guess.

As long as it holds a person, the technique shouldn't matter much.

Fishing?

No, a pair of half-elf siblings and snow in the desert. We talked about going back to the Oasis to fish, though.

I don't know "elf" or "oasis."

An oasis is a place with water and shade in the desert and an elf is... well, actually, I don't know about elves either, but half-elves are people that can use magic because they're half-elf, and a lot of people hate them.

People don't use magic where you're from?

[shakes his head]

Not humans. We can use artes, but magic is just half-elves and probably regular elves, but I don't remember.

What's "artes"?

You've seen me use them before, I'm pretty sure. Attacks that use mana to power them, but they're not really real magic like conjuring fire or healing would be.

So they're half magic and half fighting.

Mm. I think there's more to it too, but I don't remember enough.

Why were you in the desert?

I'm not sure. Something about following Lloyd? And we needed to get into a temple.
