[Tilts the end of the bow towards him for a look. There's a thing notch for the string there, and the very end curves up and then back over itself again, apparently to keep the string from simply slipping back and off once it's in place.]

I need to slip the string into place . . . and get a knot tied to hold it there. Can you do that if I hold the bow?
