I was being hounded by people who knew my reputation as a killer and wanted me to kill them, but I didn't want to 'waste my life' on them.

[nods] That sounds like a reasonable decision.

Jace said, a few weeks ago, my life was escaping. Maybe this is why. My other memory, my senses were going. I took that as a sign I was running out of time. I was surprised by how bad my hearing had gotten.
