[It's the morning, Rex woke up early and is busy wandering around exploring because it's fun and because he still feels like he doesn't know this place well enough. That said, he keeps getting turned around anyway, eventually ending up near the lake, his long stick in hand! Yay.

He's crouched near the edge of the lake, looking at the water right now.]

Not that he would actually know. Instead, have a fist AIMED AT FACE, as soon as he can find some kind of opening, as he blocks another strike and tries to swing his stick against the other man's and force it out of the way]

*and sooner or later, an opening is had! and given that your punch is coming from his blind side, at that, it connects nicely, sending him staggering back a few a few steps. he recovers from the blow quickly, though, and in fact is grinning all the wider*
