Let's start with the most relevant parts.

Okay.

We're Corvus. There's you and me. Dagger's a kid on our team and he can't read. I'm looking into trying to teach him to. He's kinda on the tense side and pretty much serious about everything ever. Hope's the other girl on our team. She's kinda shy and quiet but she pulls through. Both of 'em are apparently real good shots with guns. Scar woke up just a couple days ago. He's not human, but he's ours and he's a good cat-dog guy. He's still pretty new, though, so...

Well. We're all pretty new. Our teams--Corvus and Lynx? We first woke up not even a week ago.

So there are older teams. We're at a disadvantage.

Big time. There was only six of us altogether. Each team has up to six people, from what I know. So Lynx and us, we're pretty close. Don't get me wrong, we're supposed to be. We're partner teams. And the other twelve teams out there? They each have partners, too.

The big black team, though, they don't play in the games like we do and they don't have partners. They serve the judges and punish people on the fourteen teams that do play in the games if we break their rules.

Punish them how?

However they want, I'm guessing. Though I think their favorite way involves electricity and zapping people with it.

I see. And the rules are?

So far I've gotten: no sharing with teams outside you and your partner team, no killing each other outside of the games, and I think someone mentioned no punching walls.

But the big rule... those rules, yeah, sure. Whatever. You might just get hit by the black team by yourself, but this rule--they will punish the whole team. Worse, the judges will single you out in a game and put you and yours through hell. Trust me. Me, Dagger, Hope, and Lynx's Arrow? We watched that happened to another team. It ain't pretty.

... No, I imagine it was anything but pretty.

That rule is simple: Don't ever throw a game. Don't purposefully lose a game. Don't set yourself up to take the fall. No matter how things are? Record says it can and will get worse.

Good. We need to make sure we can stop ourselves from doing that at all.
