[Down on her knees, planting some berry seeds in dark black soil, a Pavo is singing softly to herself, the English words tinged slightly with the accent of her native tongue.]

Zero should enjoy being like this. Even if it's just for a little while.

... it feels a little weird, to be honest, but it's not bad.

It doesn't sound bad. Some parts . . . they're relaxing for the first time in a long time.

[Moving down his shoulders and back, then his arms . . . finally just holding one of his hands, pressing the spaces in between his fingers.]

... didn't know hands could be relaxed.

Zero's haven't been. Not for a long while.

[puts his hand atop yours then...]

You're sure you're okay?

[Nods, and . . . looks down at their hands, keeping her fingers carefully still.]

. . . I haven't told Dandy yet. Or Eve. About me, or you, or . . .

. . . maybe they know about Tama. It seems easier, for him.

... he does introduce himself as an alien vampire.

Are... you hungry?

[Shakes her head.]

It's not too bad.

. . . but you are.

I think everyone gets hungry here, sometimes. Right now . . . they need more time.

I can do that much.

It's not good to stay hungry though.
