I can let him know, but please don't misunderstand. I don't believe he is type to make threats as much as observations.

By my reckoning, 'observing' that if I turned around, he would stab me in the back qualifies as a threat. I'm sure that as a teammate, he's dear to your heart, and that's why I'm giving you a chance to warn him.
