[In the arena, there's some decent quality meat burning as a gift to two particular Judges, a comatose member of Hydra and a few guards with torches... and not a whole lot else to explain what's going on.

Well the real interesting part is going on a little deeper anyway.]

[From where you are, you can't actually see any distinct form in the well... just deep, deep red water, and the dark shape of something predatory circling underneath. There's almost no explanation for the wind, almost as if the resistance is casual and token rather than an attack.

But as you draw the chains across and they get locked down, the water drops further and further, matching crisscross of chains and grates form themselves in the way as the water recedes...]

[Below you, the water smoothes and clears, a now solid, rippled surface to stand on. The clouds clear the sky and the landscape looks almost idyllic.

Akito lets go of the last and slumps back against the edge of the well. He looks pale, and tired, but unharmed.]
