What: When we last left our intrepid heroes...

[In the arena, there's some decent quality meat burning as a gift to two particular Judges, a comatose member of Hydra and a few guards with torches... and not a whole lot else to explain what's going on.

Well the real interesting part is going on a little deeper anyway.]

[During it the climb down, it certainly didn't seem like it was as long of a distance as it apparently was. You can barely see the storm clouds above from where you are and as far away as the light is here, the shadows seem deceptively deep. Water occasionally sloshes down from above, probably contributing to the small, calf-level pool of water you are standing in. Inset in the well's wall is a reinforced door.]

[takes a look around, pausing when he spots the door. Calls up the ladder a moment later]

It's safe down here! Looks like there's just a door! Probably to the next area.

[When down here, the room seems bigger than it really should be. The smell of salt water, almost overwhelms the faint smell of blood.

You can still hear the occasional, distant crack of thunder... and something move subtly, quite a bit closer.

The only object of note: the door is made of a thick looking wood, and farthest from the hinges, there are a few traces of blood. It is splintered and has been forced open a few inches. A few more and you might be able to slip through.]

[examining the door while the others descend, preeeetty uneasy about the blood. Gives it an experimental shove once they're all down]

This has gotta be where we need to go next. It looks like we should hurry.

[A bright, golden, cat-like eye opens in one of the shadows near the door. To those who can feel such things, you might get a distinct prickling across your skin of battle intent and danger.]

[The voice is familiar if the tone isn't to Hydra.] Back off, bastards. Aint no fucking way you belong in here.

[there's no reaction from behind the group, save for Ikki straightening up out of his usual slouch and narrowing his eyes some]

[He takes a step closer... in the half light, he looks almost exactly like Fang... his posture's a little off, the set of his face is harder, and the eyepatch is on the other side, but they could pass for twins. His hands are bruised and mildly bloody.]

There's someone I've got to get to, when that door opens. If you're in the way, I'm gonna care who you are even less.
