[In the arena, there's some decent quality meat burning as a gift to two particular Judges, a comatose member of Hydra and a few guards with torches... and not a whole lot else to explain what's going on.

Well the real interesting part is going on a little deeper anyway.]

[With no preamble, or nice safe, neutral room, the moment the group steps through Persona's door, they find themselves standing ankle deep in water. Stretch out for as far as the eye can see is deep, violent ocean waters, lifting and crashing over itself in large waves. There's no sight of land anywhere, the horizon simply meets a sky full of blackened stormclouds. Wind lashes at you from every direction, and your ankles begin to feel the tugging of an undertow. Every now and then, lightning lances down in the distance, causing an electrical lightshow over the surface of the ocean.

There doesn't seem to be any way back, but every now and then, between waves; however, you catch the sight of a stone structure battered by the storm.]

[The sea stretches out around you in all directions and obviously gets deep quickly, judging by the size of the waves, and there's some distant traces of light on the horizon, but directly overhead is one hell of a storm.

There's no sign of any land anywhere besides the structure.]

[The water rips at your legs and threatens more than once to drag the group apart.

Closer now, you can see that the stone structure is the lip of a well, the waves are broken by it here giving you some better purchase as you draw near, and there seems to be a ladder leading down.]

[During it the climb down, it certainly didn't seem like it was as long of a distance as it apparently was. You can barely see the storm clouds above from where you are and as far away as the light is here, the shadows seem deceptively deep. Water occasionally sloshes down from above, probably contributing to the small, calf-level pool of water you are standing in. Inset in the well's wall is a reinforced door.]

It's safe down here! Looks like there's just a door! Probably to the next area.

[When down here, the room seems bigger than it really should be. The smell of salt water, almost overwhelms the faint smell of blood.

You can still hear the occasional, distant crack of thunder... and something move subtly, quite a bit closer.

The only object of note: the door is made of a thick looking wood, and farthest from the hinges, there are a few traces of blood. It is splintered and has been forced open a few inches. A few more and you might be able to slip through.]

[A bright, golden, cat-like eye opens in one of the shadows near the door. To those who can feel such things, you might get a distinct prickling across your skin of battle intent and danger.]
