[Four revived-but-not-completely-healed Corvi and a bitten-but-not-bleeding survived Lynx coming back from the Arena. Everything is terrible and everything hurts, but at least we got memories.]

[Oh she had it under control for a while, and the others definitely needed more help than she did. But they were crawling up her legs and she watched you run away, saw your back retreating, and died separated from everybody else. And she can't help but think, 'Rory wouldn't have done that.' If dad was here he would've been calmer, he would've known better, he would've at least kept his cool and carried me with him when he went to the others, he'd know how much it would hurt her to be left.

[It was the sad truth. Roranicus trusted a fighter to fight. Which she obviously was at that point. Rory would have tried to get them both back to the save the others, would have known what they were up against.]

[But that really was the problem. He wasn't Rory, he couldn't even really pretend to be Rory, and it felt more than obvious by this point. He didn't know what he could do for them besides being there. He didn't know the words, didn't know what they needed if they didn't say anything.]

[He couldn't protect them during the game and he barely knows how to help them after. And he hated it.]

[It's so stupid to be mad at him for things like that, that aren't his fault. Persephone just wants her father back. Still, even if he can't find the words she needs, the hugs at least are appreciated.]

[Which is why there's really no fight about those hugs this time. At least he's doing SOMETHING.]
