I know I'd be different, but it would be better for everyone.

I love this Dagger, right here. For all that he's done, and all that we've been through. So I wouldn't be able to say that anything that cost me the loss of any part of you would be better.

Back 'Home'... everyone is dead. My family has been dead since I was kidnapped, and I killed my friends. Or at least those that didn't die in the war. There's nothing left.

It's not okay towards everyone in my past to just leave somewhere else like this.

Not settled in your heart, you mean.

What will you do?

It's . . . been very difficult. To get to a point where I found something I wanted to live for more than the regrets I wanted to die for.

I promised Spark I would go with him, but... I don't think I deserve it. Not like this.

There are some things we simply cannot find it in ourselves to be redeemed of. But . . . do you intend to bury the skeletons in your closet so deeply that they'll never bother you, and live life that way? I think that's much more selfish.

I know it is! But the rest of them will think it's selfish if I use my wish to try to set right some of the wrongs in my world and then go back to being dead. I'm selfish no matter what I do.

If you could set things right, then step away from it and live on your own—would you? Would that be alright, do you think?

Dagger, you are very wanted. You need to decide how you want to settle the score with your past, but you should also know that everyone on Lyvus would very much look forward to sharing some sort of future with you.

I wish there was a way to do both.

Do you want that? We can arrange that. But you have to want it.

If anyone wastes their wish on me, I wouldn't be happy either. We don't even know if we're getting them at all.

For one thing, it wouldn't be a waste. And even if we don't know we're getting them—that doesn't matter. We have to act under the assumption that we are—we're going for a goal. That's the only way to move forward.

I guess I... if I could just forget, then I wouldn't have to choose.

That won't make anybody happy. Not you, not the people you've wronged, not the team that loves you. It seems like the easy answer, but it's not, even. It's no good. I'm sorry that things will be difficult . . . but life is about difficult choices, and learning how to be strong enough to make them.

But you're not alone in doing so.
