It's useless to even compare crimes, right? And telling you guilt is a form of selfishness won't make you feel any better. The best anyone can do is just accept everything you are but if you can't forgive yourself their efforts are gonna be pretty ineffective.

They're your most important people here. You don't have to tell every one of them, but not telling someone important to you means any time this becomes an issue you'll ignore their opinion on it automatically because they don't know the truth.

If you can't just decide not to treat it as an issue anymore then your next best bet is allowing people to forgive or accept you for you.

Though, y'know, personal issues from the past are a little different from being sure to toughen up here. If every blow knocks you down it's gonna be a problem no matter what. Still, if something from the past gets you, you've only got the people around you to turn to, 'cause it's not like you're at home. Pick someone understanding. If you really can't think of anyone on the team then maybe colors aren't as important as you thought.

Anyway... Like I said I don't think I can convince you to forgive yourself if you're determined. What I can do is treat you like a decent guy anyway despite what I know, because I think the actions you take now are more important. And you can either accept it or dismiss me.
