Though, here's a clue. Something else it said to me, when I asked who it was that was in danger: "It is dangerous to say. You are a clever one, though. You can figure it out."

So clearly, one of the ones that knows me well enough to say something complimentary. Or at least something to feed my ego if they thought that would work during a time like this.

Which doesn't tell us anything, really. Any of the beings here would have had plenty of time to observe us.

Unfortunately, that's true. It tells us that they have been observing, and understanding what they see, which rules out a few beings I can think of by virtue of arrogance and mindset if nothing else. But those beings wouldn't warn us anyway.

The problem really isn't necessarily who is giving us the warnings, but what is to be done about them. We can't keep staying up all night on the roof.

... mm, seems like. Keeping an ear out for that voice might help. If they've contacted me specifically, there has to be a reason for it.
