When: Day 213, post-game.
What: Seamonsterhunter piles and memories.

[Cetus sure needs a big ol' cuddlepile after that game. Also, memories. And Thumper is making an effort to cook (a meatless) dinner, though whether anyone is actually going to be hungry after that game is another question...]

We ate people. ... I ate people.

[Pales a little, maybe remembering something, but sets his jaw.]

What happened?

Queen called us all up. Gave us a feast, then put us in these rooms. Me an' Parrotman started feelin' really goddamn hungry.

[turns back to his cooking.]

We ate Del the first night. Picked a monster, so he fought back. Parrotman an' Mr. Helper both got killed, an' I couldn't control myself. Ate all three've them.

[Ffff, going a little paler. Voice not quite as steady as it was before, even if he's trying not to let it show.]

...I see.

Second night, we went after Vulpecula. Figured they'd be hidin' the leader behind their kid, so ...

[Making himself listen to this, even if he doesn't really want to hear it. :||]

...so you "picked" him.

Yeah. He killed himself rather'n get eaten. By then we'd won, so I tried holdin' back. Couldn't do it.

[Well hell.]

And at the end?

Don't remember much til the crazy wore off.

[pause. lllllooks up at his persona.]

Dunno about the others, but she didn't take my monster back.

[Ffffffff.]

So you mean, you're still-

I ain't hungry. It don't feel like it did in the game. But Headmonster looks the same.

[Puuuuts down the basket and inclines his staff toward you to take a good look at how things really are.]

[This time, Headmonster has two gaping maws, one in the torso of the horse and one in the torso of the humanoid rider. It's a lot pointier overall as well, and a lot less ... friendly-looking.

And yet ... the changes are purely cosmetic. There's something unreal about the teeth and the claws and the blood. And there's no sense of hunger whatsoever.]
