[there are gingerbread and graham crackers spread over it still and a pot of tea ready as well as some more common breakfast foods. She heads over and gets a cup down for him, pouring him some tea. It's not quite hot anymore, but still it's warm and delicious.]

[wraps his fingers around the cup, savoring the warmth for a moment]

We're coping, basically. Ender doesn't like staying inside, but it's getting less safe to be outside. That, and trying to pack up for the move.

He's basically outside whenever he can be: at least the next dorms will have windows in his room.
