[There had been . . . reservations, about visiting Sabra's library. Half-real memories, echoes of a reluctance from another time, another life. But the humidity creeping into the air, the scent of earth soaked with water (however wrong, however just a bit off that scent is from what it should be) result in echoes of another kind, and so it is that a lone Hydra has made his way there today, walking the stacks, pausing every so often to brush fingers over a leather-bound spine, or move certain delicate books from the lower racks to the higher.]

[if there's anything that can distract Librarian from his endless mountains of paperwork (other than Cepheus), it's someone reorganizing his library. ESPECIALLY someone reorganizing his library as the books cry out to him for safety from the water.

Thinner bindings are more susceptible to humidity eroding the hold the glue has on the pages, and none of these were stitched. They're safer on higher shelves, all potential for flooding aside.

Why are you an owl?

It is the form I prefer here. Humanity has its complications.

Given your avatars within Hydra's boarders, I believe I would find humanity equally strange.

It is something I only really adopted in Cepheus.

For understandable reason.

It is, although it houses the least important of my volumes.

I take it my reorganization was not something that sat overly well. My apologies for that.

It is not something I like having done without permission. I have had too many vandals.

I would hope there are none who have attempted such folly a second time.

I have not the energy to waste on punishments nowadays.

If you will forgive the presumption, I would not have thought you one to deal with such things personally at all.

I try not to. Blanks are messy and generally do not care overly much about libraries or knowledge. But Cepheus ...

Cepheus's presence here would indicate that they, at least, believe otherwise.

An honour that is anything but unexpected, given the individuals I have met thus far.

Indeed. Attempts to differentiate the Red of my memories from the one here have proven less than successful, despite the omnipresent strictures against referring to those memories as even vaguely applicable to the individuals here.
