What: Downtime ~~and getting chloroformed apparently~~

[Night is sitting outside of Corvus, making more needles out of bone. He's improved at bone carving, and is working on a fair variety -- mostly small and straight, but a few curved and one or two longer. Just chillin'.]

[nods] A lot.

How are you?

I'm well—better than how others were doing, at least.

What about you?

...It's been a bad couple of days. [little shrug] But things go on.

They do. Sometimes it's a little difficult, but they do.

All we can do is go on with it.

[moves over to let Taiki sit down if he wants]

Yeah... [sits]

It good that we have time between the games to recover.

...I don't know what we'd do otherwise.

I think I'd rather have it slowly than fast if that were the case, and if I had to choose.

I'd rather... but I also know I don't have that much time. But it's not up to us, anyway.

I don't... remember all the details. But Jace says my life is... leaking, basically. It's... happening in my memories, too. In them, I'm in a hurry, because I'm running out of time.

Night, I can change water into something that helps with healing wounds. It's not very strong, but maybe it could help you?

...I've put enough together I think I know what it is. And... I don't think it can be stopped. But I'd try. I'd tell you, if you wanted, but...

...I'll try anything you have. I can trade you something like this if you sew. [gestures to the needles] Though your team probably makes their own...

[pauses] Needles would be fine for trade... I don't sew, but the others do. It would mean less work for the others the next time they need a needle.

...And, if you'd rather I not know... that's okay too. Even if it's something that can't be changed, I'd like to try and do what I can.

[nods]

...In my memories, I have the ability to kill people with my life force. That I can somehow put it inside other people and kill them. But I whittle away my life with it. I remember hearing people say that the cost of the technique is that I'll definitely die. There's only one person who could stop it, if I'd wanted him to, and if he'd learned to use his own ability in time. ...I remember dying of it, too. So I don't know if healing water can fix that. But if it gives me even a little more time... this is the time I have to get my wish.
