*The new blank has promptly confiscated the largest knife he can find, and his holding it with a fair amount of confidence for someone who has no memory of how to use it. It is not time to systematically check all the other rooms in the dorms. He pushes the doors open quietly, and seems quite prepared to stab anyone if necessary.

And, for those who can see such things, there is a small ghost child floating behind him*

Someone there to make sure things are okay. That'd reinforce the notion that we're there for each other, at least. It doesn't have to be just you and Carly though--the rest of us could do it, too.

It's not a requirement. When it comes down to being the buffer, that's the leader's responsibility. But hell, if you're there and can do it, I'd be damn appreciative.
