[Someone's snuck out of the dorms vvvery early. And appears to be taking it out on the rocks with his materia.

Practicing with my materia. I know one of the old members of your team used to have one.

Ah, really? Um... what's materia?

This thing. It's got one spell stuck in it. In this case, something about moving the earth.

[taps his bracer.]

There's a memory of the spell inside the stone.

So... anybody could use it?

Yeah, if they had the stone. I think the girl before you had fire, and Carly had a lightning one.

... Can you tell me about her? The... girl from Pyxis?

Scarlet? Not a lot. She was, mmm, about as tall as you are. Sort of nervous sometimes, brave during others. Stuck close to Blood a lot.

It's alright. It's nice even knowing that much. She was a part of Pyxis after all. It means she's still a part of us.

[nods]

I only really know Ikki on that team. We don't really cross paths, either, but he and Carly came from the same world, so...

Ah? I knew that he wanted to protect Orion, but I didn't know he knew someone from back home on your team.

[nods]

Carly used to make those things that he wears, back home. So she remembered him pretty quickly.

The skates he has? She must have been really skillful.

Yeah. She was good with her hands--she's the one who showed our team baskets, after she'd figured it out.

It must have been hard to lose her as a teammate, but... it's good that she got her wish in the end.

[nods]

She held on, and she got what she wanted. She's better off.

I wish everyone was as strong as she was.

Mmm. I think it's pretty easy to learn that, here.

[nods though her eyes might be a little shiny]
