Who: Anyone!
Where: EVERY DORM
When: Day 146, early evening
What: time for door-to-door lawyer, part deux

[there is a cave lawyer with a journal and a bracelet knocking at your door!]

(Get lost, nearly starve to death in a cave for almost a week, and sleep for an entire day, and the population explodes. I really have to keep better track.)

They would be, if you have some to spare.

What do you need?

[running his thumb over the cross of the pendant while he's not looking, idly super pleased]

A decent mortar and pestle would be great. Since we're relying on medicine now, and bowls we don't eat out of would be nice. I've just been using a rock and a bowl-shaped rock but that's not so good for making enough for an emergency, you know?

There are plants you crush for that?

For most everything. Burn, infection, pain, styptic... a lot of illnesses. It was introduced in that Messenger game, and I figured something as good as the heal materia would be cut off someday, so...

Ahh . . . maybe we just use them differently.

But something like that shouldn't be too hard

I kept splitting rocks instead of making any progress so... Whatever price you think is fair, I'll bring by.

How do you use them?

The burn plants have thick leaves, so splitting them open along the side . . . that works, and if the burn's small I just leave it there until it feels better. The plant that makes your fingers numb . . . that one we don't even pick, any more, just cut along the stem a bit while it's still alive, and gather the juice. And the sleeping berries are good enough just like that.

[blinks and nods]

I remembered that one actually-- the burn one. Mm, we don't crush that one. I didn't try not picking that other one though... thanks for the advice.

When the ones you've harvested grow back, you can try then. It takes a bit longer, and you don't get as much . . . but you can go back to the same plant the next day, too.

Umm... [makes a bowl shape with his hands, not bigger than normal bowl] like that. Two bowls would be good.

Two . . . so you can work on different things?

Yep. Or if we suddenly need two different things.

Two . . . would be a bit hard. The part that pounds is easy, but hollowing rock, and smoothing it . . . that takes a really long time.

Aah, okay. If it's too much, just one will work great!

Can do!
