What: time for door-to-door lawyer, part deux

[there is a cave lawyer with a journal and a bracelet knocking at your door!]

(Get lost, nearly starve to death in a cave for almost a week, and sleep for an entire day, and the population explodes. I really have to keep better track.)

... uh. No we weren't.

Eh? But you just complimented your own storytelling?

Yeaaaah... but just because I'm good at it doesn't help much with the not having any memories to draw things from.

Aaah, true. It's like being able to cook but not remembering any recipes. My mistake! I'll still hope that Judge won't ever draw inspiration from them though.

Would she? 'Cause I really wouldn't want to be stabbed by a killer in a cupboard and become part of that dude's ghost army.

She hasn't yet but I wouldn't put it past her. If you hadn't guessed, Haunted's games are usually . Her past games involved haunted mansions and scare tactics, and outside of the games, she abducts blanks by dragging them through walls, leaving a bloody handprint in their place.

Creepy. Okay. Yeah.

Creepy is kind of an understatement, but yeah. Just be wary of her games in the future.

Keeping wary of all the games is gonna wear people out and fast.

Trust me, you'll get worn out regardless. I suppose, on the flip side, I could say games run by Messenger and Soldier are harmless, but I don't want to jinx that.

Any other easier ones?

Huh. . .the Twins? They ran a baking game once. There's the Graces too--I've never actually played in their games, but apparently their more focused on looking pretty and slumber parties. The Beauty is another decent one I think, but again, I haven't played all of her games.

. . .honestly I think the harmless games do outweigh the others. But when they're bad, they're really bad.

Yeah, I got that message to the point of wanting to puke from the thought of it. Just... needed to know what other kind of judges were out there.

Aaah, gotcha, then I'll quit parroting everyone else's doomsday speech.

I will say when the good games do roll around? Don't be afraid to just let loose and enjoy them. Especially Soldier's. Also make sure you're around when anyone wins.

Someone mentioned people winning. What happens when they do, anyway?

Good times happen! Basically the Judges go all out to throw that person's team and partners a huge party, good food and music and all. The rest of us are treated with a decent snack bar and some wine.

After the celebrations, the Judge called the King grants them a wish and sends them home.

Just like that, huh.

So... these wishes. They really can be anything?

[shrugs]

The first guy that won asked for a war against some monsters be turned in his favor. The King said it was done.

. . . and we're all here for some wish or another.

That's the assumption. Hearing it all, it sounds completely far-fetched, but I'd like to believe most of us aren't so easily duped.

You're kind of a cautious guy, so I wouldn't think so either.

Even if I was, it was for something damn important. Or had better've been.

I don't doubt it, though the "better have been" is what we're all telling ourselves.
