[there is a cave lawyer with a journal and a bracelet knocking at your door!]

(Get lost, nearly starve to death in a cave for almost a week, and sleep for an entire day, and the population explodes. I really have to keep better track.)

Well enough. If I spent another day inside I'd never finish anything. I've got to get back on top of my duties.

[Looks down at Lepus's door.]

Probably don't want to go in there, if you've got other things to do.

Making sure your living area is still. . .livable, is part of said duties, you know.

She remembered all the people she thought cared for her had never loved her at all.

They were the ones from the game where Quartz was kidnapped, and people who looked like you and Mao came out of those mirrors.

I guess it doesn't really matter what Judge gave it to her, it still sounds like a crappy memory. Did she just take it recently? Is she okay now?

She's not happy, but she's strong. She'll be okay.

. . . she doesn't want to go home. So I told her to come back with me.

From the little snippets I've heard of her home, I don't blame her. Maybe you two could even leave together.

Uh, it's just a normal city? A big, I'm pretty sure it's L.A. . . .! It's still a bit fuzzy, since I've mostly received work-related memories. It's definitely a huge steps up from underground cave prison.

What's an L.A.?

More like home state. The country is called the United States, and the continent is North America. California is a state within it, and L. A. is a city.

. . .and that might mean nothing to you given that you're from an entirely different place.

Guess it'd be the same if I talked about Torushina, or Fried, or Salas.

. . . not that Salas is around to talk about anymore anyway.

I-I don't recall those names, but probably. . .and if you're implying that Salas is destroyed, non-existent, or otherwise in bad shape, I'm going to really hope that isn't your homeland!

Question, because I'm still trying to make sense of all that. By chance to the Black Dragons have, er. Black wings? Since Almaz called you a dragon once, and you had that memory of. . .falling onto a ship. . .! I'm going to assume that you're two worlds at war or something similar.

The ones I remember were all human.
