(no subject)

Who: Rory, Lynx, Anyone
Where: The Lynx and Corvus area.
When: Day 145, afternoon
What: Look, some new people!

[There's a person in gray walking around the new buildings. He seems to be scanning the area around the two buildings, getting his bearings perhaps? Though he looks pretty calm and collected.

Bother?]

How much have you guys had explained so far? I can at least give you basics.

Know where to get food, water, and the place to make tools and such. Different colors, different teams. No memories is how everyone wakes up. We play and win games, we get memories. Judges are the ones who set up the games. Some games are really shitty with death and killing and dismemberment.

... pretty well-rounded so far.

Oh, and new purple's Corvus. Gray's Lynx. And we're partners.

[identity profile] righthandsmoke.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
That's more than your partner knew.

What do you know about the different Judges?

[identity profile] sonuva_gun.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Didn't get into the details yet.

How many judges are there?

[identity profile] righthandsmoke.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Tch . . . [mumbles to himself for a moment, counting off] Twenty . . . seven? Twenty-six? Some of them haven't been around in months though, and a few of them only work in pairs or groups . . .

The ones to really watch out for are Surgeon, Flowers, Storyteller, Haunted, Veiled, and Game Master. The games they run can all get really shitty and fucking dangerous.

[identity profile] sonuva_gun.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
. . . I'm seeing some irony in a judge named Flowers being horribly dangerous.

[identity profile] righthandsmoke.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
She's fucking insane. Only one team managed to escape one of their members getting injured in the game she ran.

[identity profile] sonuva_gun.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
... wait. Was this that game that Jace guy was telling me about? With the rooms?

[identity profile] righthandsmoke.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
[pulls a face at the mention of Jace >(]

If the first was a steam room, yeah. What'd he say about it?

[identity profile] sonuva_gun.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
[... yeah, not missing that]

That it got brutal when quicker decisions needed to be made? Least, that's what I got out of it.

[identity profile] righthandsmoke.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
[grumblegrumble muttering to himself in a decidedly harsh, foreign language]

Yeah, that's the way rough games go. People protect their own. No one's gonna go jumping at the chance to get their partners fucking maimed.

[identity profile] sonuva_gun.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Still sounds like you guys could've gotten out of it, but hey, I'm new. What do I know?

[identity profile] righthandsmoke.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
You also weren't there. The Judge chose one person from each team to play. The rest of us couldn't do a goddamn thing to help them. Half the guys she picked were brand fucking new, and the girl from my partner team was already injured and sick.

Whatever that guy said about how we can work together or whatever bullshit he came up with just doesn't work when you've got people who don't have any idea how things work or can't even think clearly enough to make a decision in a game as fucking shitty as that.

[identity profile] sonuva_gun.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
That's what I'm saying. You guys couldn't pull straws or string or whatever and make it more about chance? Remember, I'm asking 'cause I wasn't there.

[identity profile] righthandsmoke.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
. . . Tch. Just making sure that guy wasn't filling your head with useless delusions of peace and harmony. Those don't exist in games.

[identity profile] sonuva_gun.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Far from it. He didn't preach any kind of peace on earth spiel at me. If you guys got issues, that's your issues.

Now, you're the second person who's emphasized how much other teams don't get along, so believe you me. I'm keeping it in mind.

[identity profile] righthandsmoke.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
[snorts]

It doesn't apply much outside of the games . . . A lot of teams get along just fine normally. Mine's got good relations with most of them for example. You've only really gotta worry in them unless you make a specific enemy.

[identity profile] sonuva_gun.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
[. . . thinking it over and looking over all the different colored teams]

[identity profile] righthandsmoke.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Figure out which you like on your own.

[identity profile] sonuva_gun.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
... yeah. Anyway, whatever, we'll figure that out eventually. Time enough for some games, right?

[identity profile] righthandsmoke.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. There'll probably be one later tonight or tomorrow. It's been a little while since the last one.

[identity profile] sonuva_gun.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
[. . . well shit]

How often are they?

[identity profile] righthandsmoke.insanejournal.com 2010-07-06 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
On average one every couple of days, sometimes there can be up to two or three in one day. It varies. We just had a rough game, so chances are the next one will be an easy one.
