Who: Rory, Lynx, Anyone
Where: The Lynx and Corvus area.
When: Day 145, afternoon
What: Look, some new people!
[There's a person in gray walking around the new buildings. He seems to be scanning the area around the two buildings, getting his bearings perhaps? Though he looks pretty calm and collected.
Bother?]

... so some creep-ass girl was going on about wildlife and things hazardous to our health. Mentioned other teams.
[yep. there is an edge of wary suspicion here]

Let me guess. Red hair and a severe attitude problem?

I'm not going to tell you that there aren't dangerous people on some teams, or that there aren't Games that force us into fighting or killing each other. Unfortunately, that's true. But when we're not forced to, most of us try to get along in the limits we're given.

Games... get that bad? And they're still called games?

My team just woke up, Jace. We got the short end of the stick here. I'm not gonna-- [... well, whatever he's going to do or not is up in the air because now he's glancing over to where his two teammates are]

Representatives from each team were chosen and placed in a series of rooms. In order to move on, you had to leave a partner-team pair behind in each room. The first room was a steam bath, dangerous but not fatal; when there was disagreement, our representative and his partner decided to take the fall. The next room, everyone who passed on had to break someone else's bone, and that dissolved into a brawl pretty quickly before Orion and Cepheus stopped it by volunteering. The third room had walls that closed in, not completely, but enough to break ribs if you were at the center. Unfortunately, everyone was so busy fighting that they couldn't get out in time.
The thing about games like that is that there's usually a way to minimize damage all around, but sometimes people don't see it, or don't look.

[thinking for a moment before releasing a breath and giving a bit of a nod] Okay. I got it. Thanks.

Exactly. If people kept their heads, they'd be better off -- but that's easy to say, and hard to do in a crisis.
