[There's a person in gray walking around the new buildings. He seems to be scanning the area around the two buildings, getting his bearings perhaps? Though he looks pretty calm and collected.

No, but in this case I was referring to them not liking our judge.

Ah.

You know, then I would think your team would want to make a good impression on new teams. Even if we're not supposed to 'work' together, it'd be foolish to not take the chance to get someone sympathetic to your side.

I dislike pity. I'm not going to play nice with those who'd decide that on a first impression that I'm someone who needs to be taken care of. And if your team will decide mine horrible based off that, then clearly it wasn't to be, in any case!

[Silent at that a moment.]

I was speaking audibly, yes. You shouldn't be surprised once the others show their true colors, that I would wonder at their 'kindness'.

That's enough of a judgment. I never said anything about your team. I was just saying why I would believe you since you got so huffy about me not.

I'm more surprised that they would help the competition, though I'm not about to help those who have done nothing to deserve it. Still, since you're less than inclined to believe me, ask them. Ask about what was done to Monoceros and Lepus during the GM game, those who have long enough memories, and those who don't, ask them who died without discussion the first round of Storyteller's game, ask them about Flowers, who was targeted, and who has to fight to survive every time. Who is it the other teams offer up as scapegoats, again and again. Judge us if you like, but your disapproval means little, you who knows nothing.

It doesn't take much to figure out how the games go.

I have enough information to be perfectly willing to believe what you've said. But I can also see you don't put forth rather easy effort to maybe not be targeted.

At this point, what is one more enemy? I've had enough of liars, and betrayals. I'd prefer to know where I stand from the start!

One more enemy can do a lot.

But I have no intentions of lying or betraying anyone.

Intentions are what they are, your actions are what matter.

[Shrugs.] Then I guess you have to wait til then.

I can't say if I would be vengeful, but...I do believe I will defend my own team. [He sees no reason to not give them his loyalty so far.]

And would you lie and betray?

I haven't lied yet, have I? Even if it earns me your ire, even if putting on a smile and hiding a knife would be more to my advantage than yelling at you. Yelling at you feels better, anyway!

It's better to keep your word than to win by cheating.
