Who: BRAVE ADVENTURERS
Where: The deep dark mushwood forest
When: Day 209, morning
What: Doing things that are totally safe, guys. Totally safe.
[Carts have been loaded with tools and gear. A lot of gear, actually — gloves to keep splinters from hands, makeshift armour to protect from flying debris, and while the requisite wood cutting tools are there at the bottom, there's a little safety case on anything that has a sharp edge.
And it's off, off to the forest we go. Extra torches for light, eyes wide and alert in case anything leaps from the dark. Because you don't know what's out there, do you? No, not really.
But we need wood. Wood to build baths, so people can be clean, so we don't all drown in our own filth and get diseased and die, or catch pneumonia from bathing in the river and still die.
Wood. We need wood.
