[Having found a moment alone to go brood by the lake, Thorfinn had decided to take his memory. The results are at first, a quiet dread, because he knows already what will happen as soon as the memory starts. There is then a rise in hope! :|a which is then dashed, as events play out, not exactly in the way he had the impression they had, but with no less impact.

If you're near the lake this evening, you may hear an anguished and almost inhuman cry echoing around the caves, though the source of it may not be immediately obvious.]
