[You find the arena littered with butterflies, per usual, and while there is no seating provided, there floor is carpeted with cool, springy grass. There are also twelve blackboards placed against a long, white wall.]

Good morning, everyone. Please wait while everyone gathers. I understand that lately many of the games have caused great stress, while this is, perhaps, to be expected, I think it is fair to allow for breaks as well. Today's game will be simple, if challenging, and there will be no cause for harm, nor any punishments.

Well, there's twelve other teams that have to win. But um... I think we do well a lot of the time. At least I know Allen's really good at games.

Why couldn't you have done well with ME here?

I don't know. I wasn't here at all. Maybe you did, and it just wasn't good enough.

That's how you got them? I bet you got to use a lot of better foods than we have.

They DID! I made steak and chicken and -- and they had this whole cabinet full of spices! Look!

[gets out the jar of cinnamon that he may or may not have been carrying around like a security blanket]

He gave me my glasses first. And then he said I could pick any one of the spices to bring back.

*smellls*

Ahhh... it smells really good. What do you use it for?

I ... er ... I'm not sure. It smells warm and sweet, though, so I could probably boil it with those other leaves we have and make a sweet drink.

That sounds really good. You're lucky you have such a useful skill.

... I still don't know where it comes from. And I WON'T until I actually remember something.

That's the same for everyone. I have three memories but still don't understand much about myself.

I remember... things that have happened. Important people. I know red is my favorite color, and that love and peace are important, and that I like having friends, and the planet I was on had two suns. But none of it really answers my questions about myself.

That ... that does sound really random, yes.

When you win you remember a single moment in your life, but it looks like it can be any moment. So you have to learn what you can from that. Two of mine have been from when I was much younger.

That's not fair at all! We've all got YEARS of memories then.

I know. I'm not sure how we get it all back either.
