Who: People
Where: Near the lake!
When: Day 125, afternoon
What: BAMBOO INVESTIGATIONS. Can we use it? Can we eat it? Can we... poke each other with it?

[One (1) Cepheus and one (1) Delphinus are by the lake, trying to avoid the leeches.]

They're a little small... I'm not sure what we can do with them.

You can cook them, you know.

[nodsnods]

Definitely the smaller the better ... there's a certain point after which even I can't cook them.

Ah... that looks feasible to me.

I can teach you how to cook them if you like. I still need to come over and give you lessons sometime...

Then we can do an exchange.

Ah ... also, Lacerta won today.

Really? I wouldn't have guessed that from looking at them.

The youngest ones are very nice, actually. I used to cook them back home.

Those of us who aren't genius cooks might have more trouble with them.

How small do they have to be? I can keep an eye out when I'm fishing, and Allen could always use another food source.

Ah, well ...

[points]

You see those over there? That's about the biggest they can get. And they're really not that hard to cook if you know how. They work a lot like potatoes.

*nods*

I'll see what I can start bringing back.

[identity profile] ghostduster.insanejournal.com 2010-04-25 10:08 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you. I'll definitely make something with it next time.

... how's your team been?

[identity profile] blue_mind_group.insanejournal.com 2010-04-25 10:17 am (UTC)(link)
...better, now that Mitani's back.

[identity profile] ghostduster.insanejournal.com 2010-04-25 10:22 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, the little guy ... I was sort of wondering.

[identity profile] ghostduster.insanejournal.com 2010-04-26 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
I've already started using them in my cooking.

[identity profile] ghostduster.insanejournal.com 2010-04-26 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Not at all. Maybe not delicious without proper cooking, but...

[stares at the bamboo shoot]

Like how?

[identity profile] ghostduster.insanejournal.com 2010-04-26 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you have to boil it first. That takes at least an hour.

[identity profile] ghostduster.insanejournal.com 2010-04-26 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
[nods]

After that you can peel it and put it in all sorts of things.
