[There's a pair of Blanks stumbling back in the direction of the dorms, looking rather worse for wear (and possibly smelling of lava).]

I think I lost a few pounds and it was only one day...

Yeah, Chaz is -- if that happened to us, Chaz would be dead within the week.

... yeah. Except I don't think other teams would let that happen. They like you guys too much.

Your team's never been too fond of us, as I recall. And then there's ... uh ...

Yeah, you think on it a bit.

We used to have a bad enemy on Ophi? But he's gone.

... okay, so maybe we have pretty damn good inter-team relationships. But I work hard at that. And get lucky.

You know. I work really hard on that, too. To make up for stuff Lucky and possibly Chika do. And, I mean, I can understand people not liking my team--in games, we can get pretty competitive. But those are games, and effecting the food supply--which is the surest way to get Lucky to want to kill someone--is not the way to go about showing how someone feels about someone else.

[nods]

The garden's a fucking low blow. Any idea who did it?

There was a piece of light blue cloth, but considering how Hydra's side of the garden was uneffected--cleanly so, the thief side of my brain is screaming "Set Up". Of course, that doesn't clear Delphinus completely, but I think Black talked with them a bit about it. No confirmation.

Then there's always a chance it's Canis. But let's be logical here. Even if Chika--Gray, that is--and Lightning have their problems, Canis is not the type to take personal matters and make them into team matters. Jace wouldn't allow it, for one, if he found out about it.

There's also the possibility of it being Lepus. But that seems not quite right because Mao would have gloated about it, laughing and making a big noise over it. Let's face it--Lepus is too heavy handed for this to be their work.

Those would be the three main suspects... however, I have reason to suspect another party. I have no evidence to back it up, however. And that's the delimma I'm facing.

Canis wouldn't do it even if Jace didn't know about it. Like you said, they've got a hell of a lot more to worry about, and food's a sticking point with them.

... did Del get any new equipment after it happened?

Not that I'm aware of. Like I said, I don't think it was any of those three. I think it's a fourth party.

... but maybe you should rest. Me dumping on you about Vulpecula's problems right after you got back from getting kidnapped by a Judge won't do any good.

No, really, Jim. This should wait. Things have been going on for the past week or so, and I'm not really in the kind of state to not talk about this kind of thing without being angry about it.
